the writers of this show are gonna really regret not making karen the main love interest, if that’s what is happening here. How do you go from promoting the hell out of kastle for season 1, and then only vague mentions of Karen in season 2? why would you deliberately ignore the very reason that so many people are watching the show, the same reason that many reviews said was a strong point of season 1? I might not even watch this season at this point, to be completely honest. the marketing has been so dude-bro, male-audience oriented, and if they don’t want to include the saving grace of this show (for me, anyway) then what’s the point? I LOVED Frank Castle in season 2 of Daredevil, because it was so personal- and that’s what makes watching the punisher so hard for me. They have all these new characters and new relationships and he just doesn’t feel like the core of the show anymore. They have taken the anti-hero out of his character, and that’s what drew me to him in the first place.

ALSO, I’m not thrilled about the direction they are going with Agent Dinah. I loved her a lot in season 1 but when they said she’s going to be obsessed with Billy in season 2?? what????

I’m gonna wait and see what you guys say about the season before I watch it, just so I know what I’m getting myself into.

i just don’t understand how the punisher promo team went from teasing pretty much all kastle scenes (remember when they showed a brief second of the bridge scene?? THE CHEEK KISSING???) to…. this. you fed us so well the last time and now we get nothing. and not only that but we also we get frank kissing another woman?? the betrayal………… it hurts.

Okay, so, the kissing scene in the trailer is definitely either a Maria flashback or a one night stand. Frank has had one night stands in the comics (one of them, Kathryn O’Brien, was brought up by the showrunners as a possible future character after season one I think). I’m not worried. Karen is “after.”

i’m still disappointed though. After the promos for season one fed Kastle shippers so well it is hard not to feel like the rug was pulled out from under us even though I logically understand the choices being made.
